This dataset on which this chart depends is historical only and ends at 5/17/2024. Date is the end date of a seven-day window over which the number of daily deaths is averaged before using population to calculate the rates. Note that because of delayed reporting, counts from recent dates are likely to be preliminary and to increase as the Department of Public Health gets additional reports.
