<div><b>General Information</b></div><div>Bridge condition is based on field inspections.  These descriptions are from the <a href='https://www.fhwa.dot.gov/bridge/mtguide.pdf' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>FHWA Recording and Coding Guide for the Structure Inventory and Appraisal of the Nation's Bridges</a>. </div><div><br /></div><div>Condition descriptions:</div><div>Good - May have some minor problems.</div><div>Fair - All primary structure elements are sound, but may have minor section loss, cracking, spalling, or scour.</div><div>Poor - Advanced section loss, deterioration, or scour have seriously affected primary structural components.</div><div>Critical - Advanced deterioration of structural elements. Unless closely monitored, it may be necessary to close the bridge until corrective action is taken.</div><div><br /></div><div>This data is updated annually around the 1st of April and corresponds to annual reporting to FHWA.<br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Reporting year is 2022.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Bridge Condition Layer</b></div><div>This layer represent bridges across the State of Tennessee.  It contains bridge condition, as well as, other basic information.<br /></div><div><br /></div><div><b>Bridge Condition County Summary</b></div><div>Data is provided at the county level; county level summary data does not reflect any one specific bridge.  </div><div><br /></div>
